Glaze It

Glaze It

A soy sauce glaze is a versatile and delicious addition to many dishes, offering a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors. Use it to glaze meats, tofu, or vegetables, or as a dipping sauce. Here's a simple recipe to make your own soy sauce glaze at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup jozo soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin (sweet Japanese rice wine)
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Cook your protein. Cook your protein however you like! I suggest seasoning some chicken with salt & pepper and sizzling it in a sauce pan.
  3. Glaze It: Once the protein is done cooking, turn off the heat and pour your sauce on top. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, serve, and enjoy!

This easy glaze is perfect for adding a rich, savory-sweet flavor to your favorite dishes.
