A soy sauce glaze is a versatile and delicious addition to many dishes, offering a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors. Use it to glaze meats, tofu, or vegetables, or as a dipping sauce. Here's a simple recipe to make your own soy sauce glaze at home.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup jozo soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin (sweet Japanese rice wine)
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Cook your protein. Cook your protein however you like! I suggest seasoning some chicken with salt & pepper and sizzling it in a sauce pan.
- Glaze It: Once the protein is done cooking, turn off the heat and pour your sauce on top. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, serve, and enjoy!
This easy glaze is perfect for adding a rich, savory-sweet flavor to your favorite dishes.
